BALK™- An innovative adhesive

BALK™ is an innovative, patented bio-based pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) designed to replace petroleum-based alternatives. It offers strong adhesion while being fully compostable, reducing microplastic pollution and supporting circular economy goals.

BALK™ PSAs are produced from renewable plant-based no grain raw materials, which reduces reliance on petrochemical feedstocks and enhances carbon sequestration. Its clean end-of-life process allows it to fully decompose into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass in composting facilities. This ensures that adhesive residues do not interfere with recyclability or contribute to plastic waste accumulation.

BALK™ PSA streamlines production processes, resulting in higher efficiency. Additionally, BALK seamlessly integrates with existing labeling and adhesive tape production lines without requiring any changes to the setup, facilitating a swift market launch and commercialization.

BALK™ Bio-based Biodegradable Tape Series

The substrate film and adhesive in the BALK™ Bio-based Biodegradable Tape Series are made from biomass materials like corn starch. This innovation breaks from traditional methods, where only the substrate film is degradable. It reduces reliance on limited resources during production and offers excellent biodegradability. Under suitable environmental conditions, such as in soil, it can rapidly decompose into harmless substances, aligning with the principles of sustainable development and environmental protection.

As global awareness of environmental protection grows and regulations strengthen, the demand for bio-based biodegradable tapes in the market is expected to rise steadily.

BALK™ Bio-Based Biodegradable Stickers Series are an innovative adhesive product made from bio-based materials.
